Welcome to the Positive Support Association

The Positive Support Association (better known as the PSA here in the Pacific Northwest)
is a community based organization serving persons affected by HIV/AIDS.
The PSA is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.

The PSA provides updated HIV/AIDS educational resources and relevant information
for anyone who was recently diagnosed or for those who are living with the disease.

It doesn't matter if you are Gay or Straight (or somewhere in-between), the PSA offers you peer
support & mentorship.

Unlike other large corporate HIV/AIDS Organizations located here in our area, there are no contracts to sign
and there is never any cost to participate with the PSA or its support groups.

The PSA maintains a comprehensive On-line HIV Resource Guide which allows any
person find the help and support they might need in the privacy of their own home.

The PSA offers services to the people throughout Oregon and Washington.
All are welcome to participate in our monthly Positive Support Group meetings where all
Positive People (Gay or Straight) can finally have a voice.

The PSA is owned and operated by actual People who have HIV/AIDS.
Our entire team serves in an unpaid, non-compensated fashion; we do this out
of the goodness of our hearts and volunteer our expertise to the cause.

The PSA is privately funded by our members and friends who are affected by HIV/AIDS, at this time, we don't take any Ryan White Federal Funding or accept funding from Governmental Organization. We exist soley on donantions and through the hard work of our brothers and sisters who are living with HIV/AIDS.

We are proud to report that the PSA is the only HIV/AIDS Organization in this area that has not turned the business of HIV/AIDS Service & Support into a large money making corporation.

In summary, it is our primary mission is to help you navigate the deep waters of being HIV positive without getting
discouraged because of all the runaround. If you are new to the Oregon or Washington, you should contact us for help first, before you start shopping around the Internet or looking at signing up with any other local HIV/AIDS program.

Don't get lost in the large ocean of Organizations and miss an important program, just call us and we'll tell you simply how to get moved into all the programs that will fit your needs.
